Lower Hey Boarding Kennels & Cattery offers trusted pet care in a peaceful countryside setting. Licensed for 35 dogs and 18 cats, we keep numbers low to provide a calm, attentive environment. With indoor climate-controlled kennels, outdoor runs, and a half-acre secure field, pets enjoy daily play, exercise, and individual attention from our experienced team.

Big Rescue
Adopt A Rescue dog
BFG Rescue came about for two reasons. Firstly, Rogeiro, our Portuguese rescue dog. Secondly, the rescue of 80 dogs from a perrera in Spain, coordinated by Galgos del Sol. The idea of starting BFG was something we had considered for some time, but never moved forward with until we heard about the 80 large-breed dogs needing evacuation from a Spanish perrera.
Lower Hey Farm is home to two trusted services: Purrfect Pet Transport and our 4-star rated kennels and cattery. With over 50 years of history and a commitment to high standards, we care deeply about the pets we transport and board. We also support future animal professionals through work experience and apprenticeships.
